Our Services

Virginia Home for Boys and Girls serves children and families in the community through the following services- Treatment Foster Care, Residential Services, Alternative Education and Independent Living Services.

Foster Care
Treatment Foster care for ages newborn to 18 in all levels of care provided by professional foster parents trained in the Teaching-Family Model

Alternative School
Alternative education for grades 6-12 accredited by the Virginia Association of Independent Specialized Education Facilities and licensed by the Virginia Department of Education.

Residential Services
Group Home care for girls and boys ages 11-17 in a family-style environment with a trained married couple utilizing the Teaching-Family Model

Independent Living
Transitional living assistance in a supervised Teaching-Family home for young men ages 16-21 who are no longer eligible for foster care. Residents receive counseling, guidance and learn social, vocational, and life-long learning skills to develop the confidence and competence to live on their own.

Health & Clinical Services
Health and Clinical Services are available to all children under the care of all services provided by Virginia Home for Boys and Girls.

Intensive In-Home Services
Coming Soon
Intensive In-Home Services provides early intervention for families who are at risk of having children removed from their home.
